The stallion nodded and then started to walk toward the lake. As they walked the trees were more spaced out so the larger stallion could move a little more freely. The smaller stallion didn't have that problem.
"Well, the other stallions don't like me too much. They pick on me because of my size, but I'm just as strong as any of them. I'm like you, only in a smaller package. I'm sure they'll be nice to you though." He told the stag.

I wanna breath in and breath out, and be who I am, let go of fear, wanna feel alive; I'm ready to fly...
He soon emerged from the trees and paused long enough to toss his dial, as he had been holding it very low to avoid the lower branches. He gave a deep sigh and once again looked at Last Warrior, as if he was asking the black one to lead on. [/ul]

The lake had cleared of the stallions for that morning and a few females now stood at the side of the water. The black stallion stopped for a moment to let the large stallion stretch out his long neck before he lead the big boy toward the edge of the lake. Warrior dipped his head down and took a drink of the water. When he was done he lifted his head and dipped his head to the females that passed him.
He rolled his orbs as they began to whisper among themselves. He swished his black tail about him as if something was bothering him, and something was. He looked to the large stallion and said, "Time to get to work big man. You can follow me until someone pulls you away." He turned and started walking toward the trees again. His job was too look after some of the younger colts and teach them how to watch the boarders of the trees, to make sure no predators could get in, and if they did, to kill them.

And so he did. His huge hooves left imprints on the earth as he followed Last Warrior. A sigh escaped him as he saw the tree's drawing ever closer; that would mean he was once again forced to duck. He kept following, however, as he wished to know more of the land and its rules, and he figured Last Warrior would be able to teach him the basics. [/ul]

The black stallion entered the forest once again. He was proud of his small frame for once and almost felt pity for the larger stallion that had to duck and turn around each branch. He looked back to see the larger stallion following him and then he looked forward and saw where the colts stood. "These are the colts I have been teaching. Maybe for today you should be a colt." He winked to the big stallion before he came into the little clearing that the colts stood.
Outside the forest the sun was warm and shinning down on the large mare. The Vanner walked quickly, her feathers dragging in the sand as she walked, almost at trot speed. Her blue orbs saw the edge of the trees and a huge sigh excaped the mare. She broke into a canter and leg her feathered legs carry her across the ground.

He teased the last word, and wove his way towards the colts. He soon stopped and stood a few paces beside them, acting as one of them, ready for a lesson. He thought it was better this way, then the femmes wouldn't think he was an idiot stag, just a colt who had grown a bit too... well, heaps! too fast. He twitched his dark aud when he heard hoofbeats approaching, and he turned his massive dial to see. His blue's scanned the trees but he spotted no one approaching, so he looked back at Last Warrior, feeling quite happy and content at the moment. [/ul]

Last Warrior stood before the colts and told them what to do. After fifteen minutes of instructing them, he let them go and watched as they did their work. He tossed his black mane and turned to watch one of the younger colts slow before braking into a canter and catching up with the older colts. Warrior sighed and wished that the colts wouldn't have to work at a young age, but they had to work. He looked up to Voodoo and sighed. "Sometimes I wish I could just go into battle, and not wait for the prophecy."
Kalypso sighed loudly when she saw the sparkling water of the lake. She tossed her white mane about her black nape and broke into a canter from a stand still. She cantered right into the dark water and let her muzzle drop into the cool water and she drank. When she had her fill, and opened her eyes, she saw a small herd of females watching her. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be so loud." The mares just snorted and turned away from her and Kalypso smiled to herself. "I think I just made some freinds." She mumbled to herself before she took another drink from the lake.
