The colt snorted and looked at the filly, confuised. "You don't..." "Starbuck! You get over here right now!" A female voice interupted the colt's words. The colt turned and gulped loudly when he saw his mother walking toward him.
The white mare walked over to the three equines. A light layer of sweat touched the mare's white coat, because of the run she had to put on to find her son. "You are in so much trouble young stag!" She told him as she walked closer. Starbuck's eyes were wide and scared. He backed up and hid between Apollo's legs.
Apollo looked down at the bay colt and then up to his angry mother. He dropped his green gaze from her and looked down at the dirt in front of his and the colt's legs.

Estelle didn't feel so protected any more, and began to back up again. "Mama!" she called, turning to find Morga already coming toward her, not looking too happy.
It was true, she still looked tired, but Estelle felt immediately protected with Morga near, and promptly hid herself under her mother some what.
Morga kept in her mind where her filly was, and stared at the mare. "What is the meaning of this?" she asked coldly, staring down the new 'guest', the mare as white as snow.

The white mare's eyes widened when she saw the dapple mare come out of the glade. She dropped her head and said, "I'm so sorry ma'am. My son, he ran away and I found him here." She looked over at her son and she saw a tear fall down his cheek. Her heart almost burst with love for him, but then she felt how warn out she was and how much her front leg hurt where she had tripped over a log. Anger flared up in her again, but she said nothing as she looked at Morga, her head rasing once more.
Apollo looked at Morga and his daughter. He said nothing to them, but looked at the colt between his legs. He reached down and nugged the colt with his maw. "Go to your mother, colt." He told him and the colt nodded and walked over to his mother, his head low and his tail hung lip. Apollo lifted his head and then looked at the snow, white mare and then to his family.

"You shouldn't run away young one. Mothers worry about their young when they find them missing from their sides," Morga stated, and Estelle looked up a little.
"Sorry Mama," Estelle whispered.
Morga gently nudged Estelle toward the glade, and Estelle obeyed, which Morga was glad. She really didn't want to scar her daughter for life if things got...loud. "Apollo, watch Estelle," she ordered, changing into the Leader of the Middle Forest with 'company' around.
Looking back at the mare, she looked her over, with her colt. "I think he's too young to understand, don't you?" she asked, in a voice that said 'I suggest you agree'.

Apollo nodded and then walked away from the two mares and the scared colt. He walked into the glade with his daughter and sighed loudly, once he knew they were far enough away. "Come here Estelle, please." He asked her. He stood near the stream and he wanted to teach his daughter something about the dark liquid that trickled beside his hooves.
Back outside, the white mare looked at the dapple. "I'm not sure ma'am. This is the fifth time he has run away this week, and it's only the second sun!" She told the Goddess. She looked down at her son who had a few new tear streaks on his scared face. She looked back up to the mare and then said, "I'm sorry if he disturbed you. I promise it won't happen again." She turned her son and then started to walk away. Starbuck looked back twice, hoping to see the filly before his mother nugged him into a trot.

Sighing, Morga broke into a canter, leaped up and stood in front of them a ways, hoping to talk to the mare. "Your colt did not disturb me. In fact, if he ever runs up here again, I'll have Apollo return him to you. He's very good at doing that," Morga stated, really not wanting to do this.
Right now, she wanted to sleep, and bond with her daughter. Besides, it would be getting close to her daughter's feeding time again. She needed to be heading back soon, but she needed to say this in a way that wouldn't seem like she wanted the colt around.
Estelle seemed to like the colt, and as such, with Apollo around to teach him how a colt should behave, he would go into it much easier then most colts. Of course, no one needed to know she cared.
Back at the glad, Estelle walked over to Apollo, looking curious. "What is that? she asked, staring down at it.
Looking up, she asked, "Are you my daddy?"

The white mare blinked as she listened to the dapple speak to her. She swished her tail about her, not in boredm, but with intrest in what the mare was saying to her. "That would be fine if the stallion could bring him back to me. Thank you." She told the mare that stood before her. She didn't want the dapple to missunderstand her, she just wished her son would behave for her. "Maybe I will bring Starbuck back in a few days to see if the black filly would like to play. Is that fine for you?" She asked the mare that stood before her.
Apollo looked at his daughter and then started to speak, "Well that is..." "Are you my daddy?" She asked him, her words so sweet. He looked back to his daughter and smiled a little to her. "Yes, I am your father. This," He pointed to the water with his ears, "Is water. As you get older you will learn to drink it instead of you mother's milk. Does that make sense?" He asked her, his green eyes looking into her's.

Morga hid her satisfaction at getting the results she wanted well, and nodded. "She liked the company. I will see you in a few days then," Morga answered, and with that, floated back to her glade.
Apollo, no, Daddy...as Estelle got a little confused over that, she decided to ask Mama when she came back, and instead focused on what he was telling her. "Does that make sense?" he asked, and she nodded.
"Yeah! I'll drink this later on because...I won't be able to stay with Mama forever. What's forever? What's later? What's older anyway?" she asked, not noticing her mother enter the glade.
She just watched, letting Apollo answer the questions. She didn't mind. With the guests gone, she could be Morga the Mom, not Morga the Queen. Well, she still snapped, but that was just who she was.

Apollo listened to his daughter's questions. "Um? Ah...I don't...older is when you are....ah! There's your mother!" He exclaimed when he saw the dappled queen standing there. He didn't know how to answer the questions his daughter was asking. They weren't hard, but he had never had to answer so many questions before. He walked over to Morga quickly, leaving his daughter behind at the stream. "Do you think you can answer her questions?" He asked her, his eyes down.

Morga began laughing. Not cold laughter, just, laughing. She hadn't laughed in a long time, and the sound was very foreign coming from her, but it wasn't even evil. "I'll answer them, I'll answer them," she stated, walking past Apollo.
Estelle looked up at her Mama, and Morga smiled. "Later is after you sleep and wake up again many times. Forever is 'later' over and over, yet don't ever lie down to sleep to not wake up. Older is when you are no longer this small but taller. Does that answer your questions?" Morga answered, and Estelle slowly nodded, before going over to suckle again.
Closing her eyes for a moment, Morga thought, she knew the next question was coming. As Estelle pulled away, her daughter asked, "Mama, will I go on forever?"
"No," Morga answered simply, and was saved from the next question as her filly lay down to sleep.

Apollo heard the queen laugh and a smile came to his maw. He had never heard the dapple laugh before, at least not like this. He had heard her evil laughter and that was ten, no twenty times, worse than what this laugh was. He just stood there as he listened to Morga answer the questions of their daughter. He smiled as he watched the foal drink, and then his heart saddend as he reliazed that Morga would live longer than him, and her foal.

"Are you going to stand there and sleep or come over here and sleep?" Morga asked, getting ready to go back to sleep.
She was exhausted, and didn't feel like snapping very much right now. She would outlive them all. 'And they wonder why I am mean to them?' she asked herself, getting ready to sleep.
She was just holding out to hear his answer, ears still poised toward him, their filly asleep on the ground next to Morga.

Apollo heard his queen's question and he answered, "I will stand watch as you two sleep." He smiled as he watched Morga and his daughter fall to sleep before he walked over to the exit of the glade. He stood there and listened to everything around him.

Morga would wake sporadically throughout the night, only to go back to sleep shortly after wards. As exhausted as she was, she was fine by the time she felt she was needed to walk a bit, even if it was just for a short walk outside the glade with her daughter. Not without Apollo of course. She never knew when things would have to get loud and her daughter would need to be removed from the area.
Besides, she wouldn't trust her filly with anyone else. Apollo stayed, and showed no ill will toward his daughter. It was enough, as she believed that he would never harm Estelle.
As Morga just decided she was going to graze around her glade for awhile, giving Apollo time to rest, Estelle stayed close by her mother's side. "Mama, what should I call daddy?" Estelle asked.
"Call him 'Daddy' if you wish. It will just be harder to do so when you are older. I'll explain it later," Morga answered.
Estelle nodded a little, and went back to just sticking close to her Mama.

Apollo stood next to the stream. His eyes were closed in a light sleep and his knees were locked, keeping his body up as he slept. It had been a while sense he had gotten to lie down and sleep, but he was a father now and a father that stood near his family. He slowly awoke when he heard his name, "Daddy", and he listened to the few words that the females were saying before he fell back to sleep.
